내 안의 기쁨 Joy Within (베드로전서 1:8)

아이를 재우고 거실에 앉아 오늘 말씀을 다시 읽었어요.
보지 않고도 사랑하고, 믿고, 그 안에서 말할 수 없는 기쁨을 누리는 것—참 신비롭다는 생각이 들었습니다.
우리는 예수님을 눈으로 본 적은 없지만, 이 믿음 때문에 세상이 줄 수 없는 기쁨을 경험하며 살고 있음을 고백하게 돼요.

After putting Ju-chan to bed, I sat in the living room and read today’s verse again.
To love and believe without seeing, and to find in it an inexpressible joy—it truly feels mysterious.
Though we’ve never seen Jesus with our eyes, I realize how this faith brings a joy the world cannot give.

어제는 주찬이가 일찍 잠들어서 하프타임워십 연장전을 들을 수 있었어요.
거기서 초원 앱을 만든 젊은 청년의 간증을 들었는데, 보지 않고도 믿고, 그 믿음 안에서 실행하고 살아가는 이야기가 참 감동적이었어요.
그의 삶에서 믿음의 기쁨이 얼마나 빛나는지, 오늘 말씀과도 닮아 보였어요.

Yesterday, Ju-chan fell asleep early, so I had time to listen to the Halftime Worship extended service.
I heard the testimony of a young man who created the app Choweon, and his story of living and acting out his faith without seeing was deeply moving.
The joy shining through his life seemed so connected to today’s verse.

믿음은 눈에 보이지 않지만, 분명히 우리의 삶에 기적처럼 역사하고 있음을 다시 느낍니다.
그리고 그 기쁨이, 고난과 질문 속에서도 우리를 지켜주는 힘이 되어 주고 있지요.

Faith may be unseen, but I feel again how it works in our lives like a quiet miracle.
And that joy becomes the strength that holds us steady, even through trials and questions.

사랑하는 주찬아,
너는 아직 너무 어려서 많은 것을 이해하지 못할지 몰라.
하지만 엄마는 매일 기도하며 너에게 이 믿음의 기쁨을 보여주고 싶어.
보이지 않아도 하나님은 너와 함께 계시고, 너의 걸음을 이끌어 가신단다.

My dear Ju-chan,
You may be too young to understand all this now.
But Mommy prays each day to show you the joy of this faith.
Even though you can’t see Him, God is with you and guiding your steps.

베드로전서 1:8
“예수를 너희가 보지 못하였으나 사랑하는도다 이제도 보지 못하나 믿고 말할 수 없는 영광스러운 즐거움으로 기뻐하니.”

1 Peter 1:8
“Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy.”

🙏 기도 Prayer
주님, 보지 않아도 믿는 이 기쁨을 매일 누리며 살게 하소서.
아이와 가정, 제 작은 삶 속에서 그 기쁨을 전하는 사람이 되게 하소서.

Lord, help me to live each day in the joy of believing without seeing.
May I share that joy through my child, my family, and my small daily life.

🔍 관찰 Observation
베드로는 예수님을 직접 보지 못한 이들에게 말하고 있어요.
그럼에도 그들은 사랑했고, 믿었고, 그 믿음은 영광스러운 기쁨으로 나타났어요.

Peter speaks to those who had never seen Jesus.
And yet they loved Him, believed in Him, and that faith filled them with glorious joy.

💡 적용 Application
보이지 않는 주님을 신뢰하며, 오늘도 그 기쁨 안에 거하고 싶습니다.
작은 일상 속에서 그 기쁨을 아이에게도 흘려보내고 싶습니다.
믿음이 주는 기쁨, 그 신비를 오늘 하루 다시 누리며 살겠습니다.

Today, I want to trust the unseen Lord and stay in that joy.
In small daily moments, I want that joy to flow into my child’s life too.
I will live this day tasting again the mystery of the joy that faith brings.
