하나님이 우리에게 맡기신 사랑의 연습 - God’s Lesson of Love Entrusted to Us (요한복음 3:16)

요한복음 3장 16절은 너무 익숙하지만, 오늘따라 마음에 다르게 다가왔어요.

“하나님이 세상을 이처럼 사랑하사 독생자를 주셨나니,
이는 그를 믿는 자마다 멸망하지 않고 영생을 얻게 하려 하심이라.”

John 3:16 is a verse we hear often, but today, it touched me differently.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son,
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

가만히 생각해보면, 하나님이 우리를 이토록 사랑하시지 않았다면

독생자를 주실 수 있었을까요?
그건 우리가 상상할 수 없는 크기의 사랑이고,
그 사랑 안에서 믿음이란 선물을 받은 것 같아요.

When I stop and think about it,
could God have given His Son if He didn’t love us so deeply?
It’s a love beyond our imagination,
and within that love, we are given the precious gift of faith.

믿음은 단순히 “믿습니다” 한마디로 끝나는 게 아니죠.

어두운 길에서도 말씀을 등불 삼아,
인내하고 사랑하며 한 걸음씩 걸어가는 여정 같아요.
내가 만들어낸 게 아니라 하나님이 주신 은혜이기에 더 소중합니다.

Faith isn’t just saying “I believe.”
It’s a journey of patience and love,
walking step by step, holding onto God’s Word even in the dark.
It’s not something we create ourselves—it’s a gift of grace. 

오늘 가족과 좋은 시간을 보냈는데,
가습기 청소 문제로 작은 다툼이 있었어요.
서로 오해하고, 상처 주고, 마음이 불편했죠.
그런데 나중에 아이와 노아의 방주 장난감을 가지고 놀다가
문득 말하게 되었어요.
“주찬아, 하나님은 남자와 여자를 한 쌍으로 만들고,
서로 도우며 사랑하게 하셨어.”
그 순간, 내 마음에도 다시 따뜻함이 번졌고,
남편에게 조용히 말을 건네며 화해할 수 있었답니다.

Today, we had a sweet family day,
but we ended up arguing over how to clean the humidifier.
We misunderstood each other, felt hurt, and the atmosphere turned heavy.
Later, while playing with Juchan and his Noah’s Ark toy,
I heard myself say,
“Juchan, God made male and female animals in pairs,
so they could help and love each other.”
In that moment, warmth filled my heart again,
and I was able to quietly talk with my husband and reconcile.

하나님은 우리에게 완벽한 사람들을 주신 게 아니에요.

서로의 부족함 속에서 사랑을 배우고,
그 속에서 조금씩 성장하며 천국의 기쁨을 누리게 하셨죠.
오늘 말씀을 묵상하며 그 사랑을 마음에 새겨봅니다.

God didn’t give us perfect people.
He gave us each other, so we could learn love through our weaknesses,
and grow into joy that reflects heaven.
Today’s reflection reminds me again of that beautiful love.
