기도의 열매 The Fruit of Prayer (사무엘상 12:23–24)
오늘 하루도 정신없이 지나갔어요.
주찬이는 유아 예배에서 씬나 찬양 율동을 따라 하고,
집에 와서는 밥을 먹고, 지인 자녀들과 신나게 어울려 놀았어요.
아이들이 함께 웃고 뛰어노는 모습을 보는데,
마음이 참 따뜻해지더라고요.
결혼 전에는 몰랐던 감동이에요.
Today, Ju-chan joined in the toddler worship, dancing joyfully.
At home, he ate well and played happily with our friend’s children.
Watching the kids laugh and run together,
my heart felt so warm.
It’s a kind of joy I didn’t understand before becoming a parent.
문득, 주찬이가 1kg도 되지 않게 태어났던 그때가 떠올랐어요.
그 작은 아기를 위해 얼마나 많은 기도가 쌓였는지,
그 기도들이 지금 이 평범한 하루를 만들었음을
다시금 깨닫습니다.
지금 우리가 누리는 이 평안은
그때의 눈물과 기도의 열매라는 걸
잊지 않으려 해요.
Suddenly, I remembered the days when Ju-chan was born weighing less than 1kg.
So many prayers were lifted up for that tiny baby,
and those prayers have shaped this ordinary, peaceful day.
I don’t want to forget that the peace we enjoy now
is the fruit of those tears and prayers.
그래서 오늘 말씀처럼,
저도 기도하기를 멈추지 않으려 합니다.
하나님이 우리 가정과 공동체에 행하신 큰일을 기억하며,
그분을 경외하고 진심으로 기도하고 싶어요.
습관처럼 형식적으로 기도하지 않도록,
오늘 제 마음을 다시 다잡아 봅니다.
I don’t want to stop praying.
I want to remember the great things God has done for our family and community,
to fear Him and pray with sincerity.
I refocus my heart today,
so that my prayers won’t become empty routine.
사랑하는 주찬아,
너는 지금도 수많은 기도 속에 자라고 있어.
엄마는 앞으로도 너를 위해 기도하는 걸 멈추지 않을 거야.
너도 언젠가, 사랑하는 사람들을 위해 기도하며
하나님께 마음을 다해 진심을 드리는 사람이 되길 바란다.
My dear Ju-chan,
You are growing up surrounded by countless prayers even now.
Mommy will never stop praying for you.
I hope that one day you, too, will pray for those you love
and give your heart sincerely to God.

사무엘상 12:23–24
“나는 너희를 위하여 기도하기를 쉬는 죄를 여호와 앞에 결단코 범하지 아니하고
선하고 의로운 길을 너희에게 가르칠 것인즉
너희는 여호와께서 너희를 위하여 행하신 그 큰일을 생각하며
오직 그를 경외하며 너희의 마음을 다하여 진실히 섬기라.”

“As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you.
And I will instruct you in the good and right way.
Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart.
For consider what great things he has done for you.”

주님, 기도를 멈추지 않는 삶을 살게 해주세요.
사랑하는 가족과 공동체를 위해
습관이 아니라 진심으로 마음을 다해 기도하게 하시고,
당신의 큰 일을 늘 기억하며 감사하게 해주세요.
Lord, help me to live a life that never stops praying.
Let me pray for my loved ones and my community
not as a habit, but with true sincerity,
always remembering and giving thanks for the great things You have done.
🔍 관찰 Observation
사무엘은 기도를 멈추는 것이 하나님 앞에서 죄라고 고백하며,
이스라엘 백성에게 선하고 의로운 길을 가르치겠다고 약속합니다.
또한 하나님의 큰 일을 잊지 말고,
마음을 다해 그분을 경외하고 섬기라고 권면합니다.
Samuel confessed that ceasing to pray would be a sin before the Lord,
and he promised to teach Israel the good and right way.
He urged them not to forget God’s great deeds
and to serve Him with all their hearts in reverence.
💡 적용 Application
오늘도 기도를 멈추지 않는 하루가 되길 소망합니다.
기도가 말에 그치는 것이 아니라
마음의 중심에서 드리는 진심의 고백이 되도록
매 순간 하나님을 의식하며 살고 싶습니다.
내가 받은 기도의 은혜를 기억하며,
이제는 누군가를 위해 기도의 손을 놓지 않는 사람이 되길 바랍니다.
Today, I hope to live a day where I don’t stop praying.
I want my prayers to be more than words—
I want them to be a true confession from the center of my heart,
aware of God in every moment.
Remembering the grace I’ve received through prayer,
I now want to be someone who never lets go of praying for others.
